Hi, there! Thanks for stopping by! My name is Sally. I am an RN, a Nationally Board Certified Wellness Coach and a CPR instructor. I also very fond of all types of fiber… and by fiber, I am referring to the kind that you use to knit, crochet, spin, weave, etc. etc. etc!
I believe that working with your hands is a process that helps to promote a state of well-being. I know this has certainly been the case for me. Many of us have roles or jobs in which the work is never really “done.” This is true in parenting and many professions. It can be stressful to feel that there is always something more that should be checked off the “to-do” list. This is just one reason that making a project with your hands is so satisfying. It uses both sides of your brain (which is healthy for you), and you can actually enjoy the satisfaction of finishing (which is also healthy for you!)
There are links on my Resources tab if you’d like to learn more about the relationship between crafting and well-being.
Well-Crafted Wellness strives to link people to learning experiences in a way that is relaxing, and inspiring. My goal is to provide a refreshing environment where participants can attend to their overall well-being while engaging in an introductory crafting experience. Look under the offerings tab to get a better idea of the variety of craft options available.
Hope to get you starting (and finishing!) a crafting experience soon!
